Deputy Eoin Ó Broin asked the Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage the policy with respect to the provision of mortgage protection for Rebuilding Ireland home loan applicants; if his attention has been drawn to the fact that some successful loan applicants cannot secure mortgage protection due to illness or disability issues; and the mechanism there is for applicants to appeal a decision on the designated mortgage protection policy in which they believe the medical or disability grounds for that refusal are not valid.
