Deputy Pearse Doherty asked the Minister for Finance his views that under the stability programme update projections the debt-to-gross domestic product ratio is projected to fall to 69% of gross domestic product by 2021, but assuming a policy of minimum rule compliance as previously committed to is implemented from 2017 on, the debt ratio would continue to decline but would be around five percentage points of gross domestic product higher by 2021; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
