827 Mr. Connaughton asked the Minister for Education and Science her views on providing an extra grant to the board of management at a school (details supplied) in County Galway; if her attention has been drawn to the fact that whilst her Department’s grant of €241,500 in November 2005 was of benefit, the shortfall has proved to be a financial burden to the local community, that the community has raised €44,000 in sponsorship and another €15,000 by way of levy on parents and that there is an outstanding €45,000 which has to be borrowed; if, in view of the efforts by the local community to collect a higher local contribution, she will give consideration to an extra payment; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
