O’Keeffe asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if he has satisfied himself that the enormous expenditure of taxpayers’ money on asylum seeker accommodation and services and the legal process is fully justified and properly and efficiently expended and that all appropriate procurement procedures are properly followed; and his proposals for an independent examination of the system with a view to reporting on the current arrangements and establishing a more open, transparent, efficient and cost effective process.
