Deputy Robert Troy asked the Minister for Defence further to his meeting with a local authority delegation on 5 November 2015 on the matter of Custume Barracks in Athlone in County Westmeath, and given his commitment to maintain the current strength of 1,110 personnel in Custume Barracks, if there is a need to amend any ministerial order to ensure that this commitment is honoured; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
