Deputy Seamus Kirk asked the Minister for Health when the redeveloped epilepsy monitoring unit at Beaumont Hospital, Dublin, and the new epilepsy monitoring unit at Cork University Hospital, both completed last October but remain unopened, will be made functional; when he expects the personnel necessary for the units to be recruited; if his attention has been drawn to the fact that there are no functioning epilepsy monitoring units in this country; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
