Broughan asked the Minister for Justice and Equality further to Parliamentary Question No. 129 of 13 November 2013, if he will amend legislative provisions in respect of the Garda Síochána Ombudsman Commission so that the Irish model would be similar to the model in place in Northern Ireland whereby a member of the Garda Síochána or a member of staff of the commission could not investigate a complaint against a member of An Garda Síochána in circumstances where the investigator had a conflict of interest.
