855 Deputy John Halligan asked the Minister for Health if his attention has been drawn to the fact that in Waterford at present there are approximately 100 children and adolescents living with type 1 diabetes some of whom are receiving care in the local Waterford Regional Hospital but many of whom have the added disadvantage of having to travel to Dublin for treatment due to the lack of sufficient resources within the local Waterford paediatric team; his plans to provide additional resources to the local Waterford paediatric team.
