Broughan asked the Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government the amount of moneys spent by each local authority on emergency homeless accommodation for families and persons, yearly since 2009; the amount of this expenditure that has been on short-term arrangements such as hotels, guest houses and bed and breakfasts; and his plans to release further moneys to local authorities, in view of the current lack of available emergency family accommodation.
