Deputy Robert Dowds asked the Minister for Finance in view of the decision of the British Government not to impose VAT on debt management or insolvency services, in line with EU law on VAT, if VAT will be charged on the services of personal insolvency practitioners here; if so, the rate at which such VAT will be charged; if VAT will be charged on persons who, while not being official personal insolvency practitioners, are providing a debt management service; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
