Deputy Richard Boyd Barrett asked the Minister for Health in view of the case in the High Court at the end of August where no inpatient bed was available for a teenager with psychiatric difficulties, if he is satisfied that the welfare of children with such difficulties is being adequately catered for considering the new stresses on the system since 16 and 17 year olds have been brought into child and adolescent mental health services; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
