Deputy Catherine Connolly asked the Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage if his attention has been drawn to a report (details supplied) which highlights that in 2020 approximately 4,000 properties owned by local authorities nationally were vacant; the engagement he has had with Galway City Council and Galway County Council with regard to the findings of this report and in particular in relation to bringing vacant housing owned by these two councils back into use as a matter of urgency; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
