Deputy Micheál Carrigy asked the Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage if, without any further delay, he will refuse the request by the then- Minister for Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth, Roderic O'Gorman, to annul the decision by the councillors in the Athlone/Moate district of Westmeath County Council, which they took to invoke a prohibition order regarding the erection of temporary dwellings at Lissywollen, Athlone, under legislation available to them and contained in the Sanitary Services Act 1948 and the Local Government Reform Act 2014; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
