Deputy Michael Murphy asked the Minister for Public Expenditure, Infrastructure, Public Service Reform and Digitalisation if, in light of increasing visitor numbers to Athassel Abbey, County Tipperary, he will direct the Office of Public Works to assess current public access arrangements at the site; whether options such as a kissing gate or similar controlled access solution, successfully implemented at Hoare Abbey will be examined to improve safety for visitors; and the anticipated timeframe for such an assessment.
