Broughan asked the Minister for Health the actions that will be taken by his Department in conjunction with the Health Service Executive to reduce delays in the pump start-up service for children and adolescents with diabetes in order that the 48 children and adolescents awaiting commencements of pumps as of July 2014 and the further 11 children and adolescents who have funding approved but are awaiting the initiation with pumps as of July 2014 can commence insulin pump therapy.
