981 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government if his attention has been drawn to the concerns of the local community at Bawnogues, Straffan, County Kildare whose homes rely on septic tanks and who are anxious to be included in the proposed Straffan sewerage scheme; if he has had discussions with the relevant section of Kildare County Council with a view to ensuring the availability of facilities through the proposed scheme, thereby eliminating potential pollution threats in an area within the River Liffey catchment area; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
