Deputy Cormac Devlin asked the Minister for Health if he will request the national immunisation advisory committee, NIAC, to examine if persons aged 17 years who are working in front-line vaccination environments, such as pharmacy assistants who are currently designated as category 2D workers in terms of the vaccination programme and at high risk of contracting Covid-19, can be given the vaccine given NIAC's approval of vaccinations for persons aged 16 years of age and older who are at high risk from Covid-19; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
