Deputy Colm Burke asked the Minister for the Environment, Climate and Communications the action his Department is taking to accommodate homeowners in the conversion of existing domestic heating systems, that is, oil burners and boilers to hydrotreated vegetable oil fuel, in view of the fact that it would assist homeowners in retrofitting their homes more feasibly and the conversion to HVO fuel would lead to an immediate reduction in carbon emissions in home heating; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
