Deputy Róisín Shortall asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine further to Parliamentary Question Nos. 432 and 433 of 23 January 2018, the powers that are available to ensure the enforcement of welfare standards of horses in the ownership and or care of individuals; his plans to bring forward legislation to prevent owners that have had horses seized on the grounds of neglect or cruelty from acquiring or providing care for other horses; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
