Allow Women to Legally Carry Pepper Spray for Self-Defence

United Kingdom · UK Parliament · 31 January 2026

Review current legislation on self-defence weapons Legalise the carrying of pepper spray for women for personal self-defence. Introduce sensible regulations, and guidance! Put women’s safety first by giving them lawful, practical means to protect themselves. Women across the UK face an unacceptable level of risk in everyday life. Despite repeated assurances, violent crime particularly against women remains a serious and ongoing concern. Many women feel unsafe walking alone, travelling at night, or simply going about their daily lives. Currently, UK law prohibits women from carrying pepper spray, leaving them legally defenceless while expecting them to rely solely on after-the fact policing and prosecution. This needs to change!!!

Amend The Equality Act protected status serving/veterans of the UK Armed forces

United Kingdom · UK Parliament · 30 January 2026

To amend the current Equality Act in order to include/confirm protected status for all individual serving and past veterans (both regular and reserve forces) of the UK Armed forces. This would be done to recognise and reward the unique nature of all members past and present of the UK Armed forces. This helps to ensure that individual service is recognised and that our country in turn repays the debt of honour by providing priority treatment for housing, healthcare, finance, employment, education and access to mental health services. Protected status for veterans under the Equality Act would be a fitting tribute to the work and the service of our armed forces.

Propose the creation of a new defence treaty in Europe as an alternative to NATO

United Kingdom · UK Parliament · 25 January 2026

We call on the UK Government to support the creation of a European defence treaty which can remain dormant until the day the United States could no longer uphold the North Atlantic Treaty. It would need no secretariat or integrated commands until those of NATO become available for use by Europeans. We, the undersigned, are concerned about the legacy of this US administration’s policies toward Greenland, Ukraine, Europe, and international law in general. We question the ability and the will of the US to defend both Europe and the Far East in the future. We believe only a legitimate treaty could ever replace NATO and that no current European institution is fit. The EU & UK already have many times the population and GDP of Russia. We believe only the political will is needed.
