Review how police deal with dogs, including using tranquiliser guns.

We think the government should review whether the police should use tranquiliser guns instead of real guns when dealing with dogs they think are a danger. We believe that the police need to be better trained in dog behaviour and learn to take time to assess a situation before acting on it. We think there have been xl bully's or other dogs shot and killed in front of there family's because of the lack of understanding of there behaviour and temperament instead of looking into a situation before acting. We think the repercussions of this mean an innocent dog may be shot and killed for being a loving kind big softie, that has a family that will forever will have there heart broken because of a gun instead of a tranquiliser. We think this review would give time to look into what could save a innocent life so please please save our dogs.

Review how the law & police treat life changing assaults without physical injury

I am petitioning to review the law as it currently stands to ensure it recognises that assault without injury can have the same impact on someone's life with those with physical injuries caused by assault. An assault that causes no physical injury may leave the victim traumatised with problems that is life changing for them and family. We think the review should consider how long before someone’s conviction becomes spent, when they are convicted of any type of assault that has changed someone's life. The review should also consider penalties.

Change the law so that people can create private police forces

I want the government to allow people to create their own private police forces, but the legislation needs changing so this can be made possible. The offence of impersonating a police officer under section 90 of the Police Act 1996 would need to be removed and regulations would need to be put in place to establish the powers of private police forces. I think that the current public police force is being strained to the maximum.

Authorise police to intervene in financial dispute between tenants and landlords

I urge the government to consider implementing measures that provide stronger protection for tenants and ensure the police have the absolute ability and authority to intervene in financial disputes between tenants particularly immigrant and landlords. I urge Parliament to address this issue by strengthening tenant protections and by empowering the police and also giving them the mandate to act in disputes involving landlords. Measures should include creating a streamlined process for tenants to recover deposits and holding landlords accountable for breaching agreements. Agencies like the police should also have the authority to intervene in cases of financial misconduct.

This diverts attention from serious crimes and undermines the UK’s proud tradition of free and open debate, fostering concerns of Orwellian overreach. We urge the Government to prioritize tackling harmful criminal threats while protecting the right to robust discussion without fear of disproportionate state intervention.

Research shows there are several thousand unsolved killings across the UK. Investigative Genetic Genealogy has had major success in solving over 600 cases in the USA. We think this could potentially help UK police solve hundreds of cold cases and unidentified bodies, bringing closure and justice to desperate families. We think it's also an opportunity to remove violent offenders from our streets.

We believe police pursuits can pose high risks of serious injury/death to drivers, passengers bystanders. One of the duties of the police is to prioritise the preservation of life. A review should investigate whether rules on police pursuits reflect this duty of care and commitment to public safety. We believe that fatalities, including among children, are alarming and devastating communities. The review should consider matters such as the prohibition of police pursuit use in response to non-violent offences and minor traffic offences; and mandatory camera activation. The review should consider what steps may be necessary to reduce casualties, especially among children.
