Summary
That this House welcomes the categoric statement made by the Under Secretary of State for Wales (the honourable Member for Delyn) on 18th January, Official Report, column 744, that the Government will ensure that there is a 5 per cent. real terms funding growth in the National Health Service, and thereby will 'ensure that we bring ourselves up to the European average'; and calls on the honourable Member to announce how much extra funding over and above previously set spending levels will be available for the National Health Service in Wales for 2000-01.
