Summary
That this House notes that back pain is the number one cause of disability in the UK costing the country over ú6 billion per annum and affecting the lives of two in five of the adult population; calls on the Government to ensure that guidance on back pain issued by the Clinical Standards Advisory Group in 1994 is followed; and further calls on the Government to issue guidance on appropriate care pathways for pain management that ensures timely diagnosis, and appropriate treatment that reduced the number of people suffering chronic back pain.
