Summary
That this House notes the Police Federation's major online survey that indicates police officers work at least one day's unpaid overtime per month, two fifths of officers worked most of their daily breaks and over 90 per cent are answering calls on police-related matters whilst off-duty; acknowledges the commitment and professionalism of our officers; accepts the clear staffing pressures, under-resourcing and budget cuts; and calls on the Northern Ireland Executive to invest in the Police Service of Northern Ireland to ensure superior welfare for officers and a better service for the people of Northern Ireland.
