To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, whether his Department has set a formal target date for the decommissioning of all conventional crewed mine hunting vessels in use by the Royal Navy.

Answer
The Royal Navy is gradually phasing out its traditionally crewed and complex mine countermeasure vessels, as modern, autonomous systems are delivered. We do not routinely comment on the timeline for the decommissioning of vessels.
