Summary
We think some people are being mis-sold "Family Asset Protection Trusts". We think the Government needs to protect citizens, introduce harsher punishments for miss-selling, and support victims. We think the Government is not doing enough at the moment, and that this could be the Next Big Miss-Selling Scandal. We think vulnerable people - such as the elderly and the sick - may be being sold these without their effects being properly explained, and that they can leave people worse off. We believe they are being promised protection from costs - such as care fees - but that what they are being sold may not actually protect them from these costs. We want to see the government hold a public inquiry on this.
