Summary

We want a penny out of every pound spent by the government to go towards space. We think that the majority of the new spending should be on developing space resources and working towards the colonisation of space by the UK, in collaboration with our international partners. We feel that other nations, notably the US and China, are accelerating their capabilities in space with ambitious plans for the Moon and Mars and more affordable reusable rockets. We believe that ignoring this challenge because it is too difficult in the short term means we are destined to become irrelevant in the long term. We think that the 22nd century will be shaped by those who begin developing space now.
