Summary
It has been reported that the Government is considering extending the BBC TV license fee to active subscribers of popular streaming services such as Netflix as an example. We believe this is unfair and that the Government has no rights to extend what we think is an unfair charge. We do not want the government to do this. The BBC do not contribute funding towards these streaming services. We believe the Government should instead come up with an alternative funding model for the BBC, such as adverts or an optional subscription, or scrap the license fee.
