Summary

Review the 5-year residency limit for Moldovan citizens in the UK to exchange their licences and consider the introduction of a fair transition period so no one is left out, to ensure equal rights and no division in the community. Many Moldovan citizens in the UK are disappointed that the driving licence exchange agreement excludes those who have been living here for more than 5 years, which we believe causes an unfair divide. We kindly request that this be reviewed and that the Government considers creating a fair transition period so that all Moldovans can exchange their licences.
