Summary

We want Government to review stricter permits for and costs of policing disruptive marches, penalties for organisers of protests where antisemitic or extremist activity takes place, and the policing, economic and community harm caused by protests. We think this is needed, especially after the recent synagogue attack. Repeated pro-Palestinian marches cost tens of millions in policing, cause major disruption to businesses and transport, and have coincided with rising antisemitism. The recent terrorist attack on a UK synagogue shows the risk to community safety. The public are fed up with disruption and fear.
