Summary

Make it a legal requirement for public entertainment services, e.g sports stadiums, concerts & shows, etc. to use subtitles, increasing the inclusivity of the entertainment sector. Whether this be on a big screen or a handheld device that can be requested by individuals who may require it. As a hard of hearing individual who frequently attends football games and music events, I find it extremely disappointing that there are not always adjustments made for those who are deaf/hard of hearing. Introducing this legal requirement could open up opportunities for deaf people massively and help inclusivity within entertainment. The constant struggles of not knowing what is being said, what song is being played or what is going on could be easily resolved by the introduction of subtitles.
