Summary
I want the Government to exempt refugees who are sole carers of children who are British citizens from any changes to the current pathway to indefinite leave to remain (ILR) in the UK. I think they should remain on the previous, shorter route to ILR to protect child welfare and family stability. I think that extending their pathway to ILR undermines their rights under Article 8 ECHR (family life).
