Summary
While the mission behind the Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority (CICA) to compensate innocent victims of crime is vital, we feel its current operational methods are failing the very people it was designed to protect. A review could consider what we think are practical, cost-effective ways to help manage increasing caseloads without potentially alienating applicants: Restore the Live Chat Function Expand the powers of the Customer Resolution Team Implement a Digital Progress Portal Improve Guidance Modernise processes on medical information We are calling for an urgent Government review to end the "culture of silence" and replace it with transparency, efficiency, and compassion. Help us amplify this message.
