Summary
We believe the recent fire in Glasgow Union Street highlights the dangers of Vape stores. In this case there were no casualties but this resulted in a fire requiring several fire engines, and we think this could have had far more serious consequences and has impacted so many businesses. Until this fire - it had not crossed my mind the dangers of these vape stores. Where I live there are at least 3 vape stores with residential properties above them. I am concerned that if one of these were to go on fire overnight when people are sleeping and buildings are unattended the consequences could be catastrophic. I therefore call on the Government to consider new restrictions on where vape stores can be located.
