Make Perimenopause Training Mandatory for All UK Doctors

We call for mandatory training for all doctors and at least one trained specialist in every GP practice to ensure women are properly recognised, supported and treated. Too many women are told their symptoms are “just stress” or prescribed antidepressants instead of receiving appropriate hormonal support. This can lead to worsening physical and mental health, impacting work, relationships and quality of life. Perimenopause is a natural stage of life, not a niche issue.
