Summary
Limb different children have unusual anatomy. Without a baseline X-ray on NHS records, some A&E doctors can’t tell what is an injury & what is the norm for that child. We want every limb different child to have a baseline X-ray at diagnosis, stored and easily accessible When a limb different child attends A&E following an injury, some doctors cannot tell what is normal anatomy for that child and what is a new injury. Without a baseline X-ray on NHS records, there is risk of misdiagnosis, missed fractures and incorrect treatment. families are left having to answer medical questions in moments of crisis. One single baseline X-ray taken at diagnosis, stored and accessible to any emergency team nationwide, changes everything.
