HAMDT 110 (99th)

An amendment setting conditions on procurement of certain combat vehicles. It prohibits letting of contracts to procure newly developed combat wheeled or tracked armored vehicles or any combat wheeled or tracked armored vehicles with significant newly developed survivability modifications unless testing carried out in their development meets specified requirements. It must be tested in a manner similar to the live fire test program used on the Bradley Fighting Vehicle. A report of these tests must be submitted with the first request for procurement authorizations made to the Congress. The amendment sets out areas to be covered in the report.
