HAMDT 254 (97th)
An amendment to add a new subsection to Section 601 providing for criminal liability for anyone who claims, rightly or wrongly, that a U.S. official overseas is a covert agent and thereby places in imminent danger the life or safety of any individual. The penalty is set at a maximum fine of $25,000 and/or 5 years in prison.
