HAMDT 362 (99th)
An amendment adding a new section establishing within NOAA a Great Lakes Research Office which is to identify issues relating to the Great Lakes on which research is needed. The amendment authorizes $2 million for each fiscal year 1986 and 1987 and $3 million for each of 1988, 1989, and 1990 to carry out the program of the Research Office. It is to establish a research exchange, develop a comprehensive environmental research program and data base.
