HAMDT 369 (97th)

An amendment to require imported meat or meat products to be labeled as to country of origin. The meat must be inspected at port to entry to determine that it is not adulterated. At inspection the meat is to be graded. Fees are to be assessed to the imported meat to cover the cost of inspection, grading, and labeling, and the meat is not to be released from customs until the plant of origin pays the fees.
