HAMDT 506 (99th)
A substitute amendment to the Jones (OK) amendment to require that all regulations promulgated before or after enactment of this provision that deal with lead content of gasoline provide for leaded gasoline to be used on farms (at a level of .5 grams/gallon). This is not to affect permitted levels of lead in gasoline for nonfarm purposes. A study of the effect of unleaded fuel on farm equipment is to be submitted to Congress by 1/1/87. Four months after submission of the report regulations on lead content of gasoline that are generally applicable shall apply to farms unless the EPA Administrator sets exceptions.
