HAMDT 516 (100th)

An amendment comprised of three amendments en bloc to require that the State Department's annual "International Narcotics Control Status Report" include a description of the assistance denied to major drug producing and transiting countries during the preceding year, and sections prepared by the Drug Enforcement Agency, Customs Service, and Coast Guard, describing the narcotics control assistance these agencies have provided to foreign countries, and the assistance foreign countries have provided to these agencies. Finally, the amendment adds language to the Foreign Assistance Act of 1961 which states that "suppression of international narcotics trafficking is among the most important foreign policy objectives of the United States.".
