HAMDT 758 (103rd)
An amendment offered as a substitute to the Stenholm amendment that would grant the President a line-item veto, subject to a vote of disapproval by both the House and the Senate. The amendment would give the President 20 days after signing an appropriations or revenue bill to veto any part of the bill. The House and Senate would have 20 days to pass a joint resolution of disapproval (which would be subject to a veto).
