HAMDT 801 (103rd)
An amendment to eliminate the provisions of the bill that require property owners to provide information on radon hazards to prospective buyers or renters and to disclose the results of any known radon tests, and to include in sales contracts a radon warning statement and buyer acknowledgement that the prospective buyer was given an opportunity to test the property for radon. The Oxley amendment would instead require the EPA to develop a program to disseminate radon informational pamphlets in high radon areas.
