SAMDT 3170 (98th)
To express the sense of the Congress that the President should insist that the pertinent member nations of NATO meet or exceed their pledges for an annual increase in defense spending during fiscal years 1984 and 1985 of at least 3% real growth and should insist that Japan further increase its defense spending in fiscal years 1984 and 1985 in furtherance of increased unity, equitable sharing of our common defense burden, and international stability.
