Summary
Authorizes the President to call White House Conference on Library and Information Services in 1976 to, among other purposes, plan for utilization of new technology by libraries and information centers. Lists conference participants, including local, state, and national library representative, educational and governmental representatives. Requires the Conference to be planned and conducted under direction of the National Commission on Libraries and Information Science, which shall provide technical and financial assistance to States enabling them to prepare for the Conference. Establishes a 28-menber advisory committee to the Conference. Authorizes appropriations necessary to carry out this joint resolution.
