Summary

Coal Export Enhancement Act of 1985 - Directs the Secretary of Commerce to establish, within 90 days of enactment of this Act, a Federal Coal Export Commission which shall meet at least four times a year for consultation on activities leading to increased cooperation among entities involved in U.S. coal exports, with the goal of expanding the U.S. share of the international coal market. Requires the Commission to examine the potential for small- and medium-sized coal companies to enter the export coal trade through export trading companies. Requires the Commission to submit its report to the President and the Congress within two years of its first meeting. Terminates the Commission upon submission of its report.
