Summary
Provides that the compensation payable when death results from an injury sustained in the performance of duty shall be available to any widow or child eligible for dependency and indemnity compensation by reason of the death of a veteran if: (1) the monthly death compensation computed under this Act is greater than the monthly dependency and indemnity compensation for which the widow or child would be eligible; and (2) the widow or child applies for compensation under this Act. States that any individual entitled to dependency and indemnity compensation may elect to have such compensation computed as provided for under this Act.
