A bill to establish a commission to review United States antitrust law.

Summary

Establishes a Commission on Revision of the Antitrust Laws of the United States. Provides that the purpose of the Commission shall be to study the effect upon competition, price levels, employment, profits, production, consumption, foreign trade, economic growth, and the capability of the economy to best substain the Nation at home and abroad of: (1) existing antitrust statutes, as interpreted by judicial, executive, and administrative decisions; (2) existing price systems and pricing policies of trade and industry in the United States; and (3) the extent and causes of concentration of economic power and financial control. Requires the Commission to transmit to the President and to the Congress not later than one year after the first meeting of the Commission a final report containing a detailed statement of the findings and conclusions of the Commission, together with such recommendations as it deems advisable. Provides that sixty days after the submission to Congress of its final report, the Commission shall cease to exist.
