Summary

Amends Title XVIII (Medicare) of the Social Security Act to increase the number of visits for post-hospital home health services from 100 to 200 under part A (Hospital Insurance Benefits for the Aged and Disabled) of such title. Removes the 100 visit limitation presently applicable to home health services under part B (Supplementary Medical Insurance Benefits for the Aged and Disabled) of such title. Amends Title XIX (Medicaid) of the Social Security Act to permit the purchase or rental of medical equipment necessary to provide cost-effective home health care services.
